This educational and craft project focused on building a solid roundhouse structure atOld Chapel Farm, a woodland centre just outside Llanidloes. The centre provides skills in woodland management, sustainable woodland crafts and building techniques. The roundhouse shelter was built by volunteers, including people with learning difficulties or mental health issues, using these crafts and techniques. The oak came from the wood, and the volunteers learned to use traditional tools and how to work as a team. The roundhouse will provide shelter for volunteers working in the woods and overnight accommodation for bodgers and other volunteers.
